Weekly Selections: Herodot at Toi Toi Barcelona, The Mole & Solar at Dig Deeper, XLR8R & Cyclone with Petre Inspirescu
Our top weekly event picks from around the globe.
This Friday night, Barcelona’s newest and most exciting club venue RED58 will continue its stellar streak of bookings with a showcase from UK-based label, agency, and events series Toi Toi Musik. The intimate space will play host to a headlining performance from Romanian export Herodot, who is known for contributions to Sunrise and Unanim. Also on the bill is Toi Toi mainstay and XLR8R Podcast contributor Voigtmann and local talent Dafoe. Tickets and more info can be found here.
On Saturday in Los Angeles, Dig Deeper returns to DTLA’s warehouse district with a special collaboration with San Francisco-based promoter As You Like It. The two veteran West Coast event brands–both known for their heavyweight bookings and eclectic programming–will host the highly anticipated LA debut of Maybe Tomorrow founder The Mole. Sunset Soundsystem resident Solar will also play the party, along with Maybe Tomorrow member Split Secs and Dig Deeper’s own Masha. More info and tickets can be found by going here.
And on Sunday, XLR8R and Cyclone team up to bring the long-awaited return of [a :rpi:ar] artist Petre Inspirescu (affectionately known as Pedro). The party will take place at the Treehouse Rooftop in DTLA: a relatively new venue with state of the art sound, lighting, and stunning views of the LA skyline. Support for Petre Inspirescu is set to be provided by Cyclone’s own residents HAAS and Highkin‘, as well as the XLR8R-affiliated duo WXC. Tickets can be purchased via XLR8R by going here.
