Masafat Festival is a new multi-arts event taking place across London and Cairo in partnership with the ICA, Arts Council, and British Council. The project headed up by Morell of Rhythm Section under his 3333 organisation.

Each edition will feature a musical program, with artists such as, among others, Mark Fell, Mumdance, Abdullah Miniawy, Logos, Carl Gari, Gaika, Lafawndah, and Bradley Zero, as well as workshops and screenings all arranged with the idea of fostering professional and artistic exchange across the Arab world and the UK.

All the events will be streamed live via Boiler Room, with further support from NTS Radio, Mada Masr, and The Wire.

The London edition is currently underway and will run until September 4, with Cairo to follow on September 20. You can find more information, including tickets and event details, here.
