In a new two-part series, Point Blank and F9 Audio founder and Freemasons member James Wiltshire explore the origins of house music—explaining both who and what went into creating those early records and how the scene and studios grew with the sound—and one of the most important instruments used in the era, Roland’s TR-909. Wiltshire then moves on to creating a classic house track in Ableton live using samples from the 909.
