Throughout the week, a whole lot of material gets posted here on XLR8R. And while we know—and love—that some hardcore readers will eagerly pour over every single news story, interview, podcast, video, and MP3 download that appears on the site, we also realize that for most people, it’s impossible to see everything, which means that some quality XLR8R content is likely to get missed in the hustle and bustle of everyone’s daily lives. 1. Techno pioneer Robert Hood (pictured above) was the subject of our latest 20 Questions feature. In the course of answering our queries, he touched upon the early days of Underground Resistance, Kraftwerk, and cheese grits.

2. UK producer and Ninja Tune affiliate Bonobo was responsible for the latest installment of Radio 1’s Essential Mix. His two-hour session is streaming online.

3. Xosar delivered a new mix of esoteric audio and subterranean grooves for French magazine Trax.

4. This week’s XLR8R podcast presented an off-kilter, genre-hopping mix assembled by The Range.

5. Fresh off the release of his new LP, Bay Area producer Tycho applied his talent for gauzy melodies and hazy sonics to a new mix for FADER.

6. Montreal-reared, New York-based artist Jacques Greene also contributed to this week’s onslaught of mixes by delivering a podcast for Little White Earbuds.

7. Mysterious UK producer patten released another free batch of tunes as the latest installment of his ongoing Re-Edits series.

8. Dan Snaith (a.k.a. Caribou) announced that he would soon be releasing a new 12″ featuring a pair of collaborations between his Daphni project and Canadian producer/composer Owen Pallett.

9. UK producer Four Tet kept up his prolific streak by unveiling plans for a trio of new 12″s on his Text label, including a pair of releases from his Percussions side project. The news was accompanied by a stream of one of the new Percussions tracks, and he followed it up the next day by sharing a second tune.

10. The most popular track in our Downloads section this week was “The Destruction of Words,” a punishing piece of brooding dancefloor fare from UK duo Habits of Hate. The pair will soon be releasing its debut EP via the Electronic Explorations label.

After announcing a forthcoming trio of 12″s for his Text label on Tuesday, Four Tet has spent much of the past week methodically leaking streams of those upcoming efforts. Now, the last two pieces of the puzzle have arrived as both sides of the man’s upcoming TEXT029A 12″ as Percussions are now available to hear in full.

“KHLHI” and “Sext” round out the pair of 12″s which the UK producer plans to drop on April 28 under the Percussions moniker. Both tracks can be streamed in full below while the alias’ other upcoming productions can be heard here and here, respectively.

Israeli duo Juju & Jordash have unleashed a recording from a recent live set which is now available to stream. First appearing via Glaswegian club night Sub Club as a preview for the pair’s upcoming set this weekend at Subculture, the pair’s live set delves into a wide range of analog-streaked synthscapes, going on to showcase the duo’s noted love of hardware-produced sounds throughout the performance’s 40-minute run.

Juju & Jordash’s recently surfaced set, which was first recorded back in March at Berlin’s Stattbad club, can be streamed in full below.

UK talent agency LittleBig will celebrate its 10th anniversary next month with the release of a compilation from its roster of artists along with an accompanying mix CD put together by Warp mainstay Clark. Deemed LittleBig 10, the collection’s first CD will gather previously released tracks from a range of artists which appear on the agency’s roster including Machinedrum, Oneohtrix Point Never, DJ Rashad, and Venetian Snares, among others. Spanning 33 tracks, Clark’s mix will be presented on the package’s second CD, touching on productions from The Field, Jon Hopkins, Jimmy Edgar, Holly Herndon, Jam City, Akkord, Laurel Halo, and more.

LittleBig 10 is set to drop next month and, according to the agency, will be “distributed to our network of friendly associates,” though one hopes the mix will eventually be made available to fans as well. In the meantime, the artwork and tracklists for both discs are included below. The Friends of Friends debut of Chicago producer Different Sleep drops next week (April 22 to be exact), but before the upcoming Conflict EP sees its full release, its four dreamy cuts can now be streamed in full exclusively via XLR8R.

Tender soundscapes, slow-motion rhythms, and subtle melodic flourishes mark much of Conflict, a record which finds its young creator sounding as introspective as he does confident and composed. From the unhurried shuffle of the EP’s opening title track to chord-bathed cuts “Slow Things Down” and “Cold,” and on through bubbly closer “Damage,” Different Sleep gracefully leads listeners through the more tender ends of the beat world. Now, before its release next Tuesday, the burgeoning talent’s proper debut EP can be heard in full via the player below.

The Hyperboloid label—ran in part by Moscow mainstay Pixelord—has announced plans to release an ambitious 20-track compilation which aims to bring together the wealth of electronic sounds currently emanating from Russia. The forthcoming #INTERNETGHETTO #RUSSIA collection will be split into two parts, with its first 10 tracks set to appear on vinyl, while its second 10 tracks will come as a digital package. Of the artists included on the vinyl are some of Russia’s more established beat-minded talents such as DZA, 813, Lapti, Nphonix, and Pixelord (many of whom appeared in our 2012 Welcome to… Russia feature), while the digital part of the collection will focus on a number of the country’s promising producers.

Set to drop on April 24, the compilation will mark the first vinyl release for Hyperboloid, but will also be available in cassette and digital forms. Before #INTERNETGHETTO #RUSSIA sees a release, its full tracklist is included below along with a mini-mix which previews a number of the collection’s cuts.

It’s been a year since we last heard from Belgian producer Cupp Cave (a.k.a. François Boulanger, Ssaliva). His last release, NVMB, on Ramp, was a jangling network of abstract rhythms and filter-smeared samples. Now, he’s back with a new single for the label, “Death Vessel” b/w “TT IBM,” a two-track 7″ that follows a similar vein, albeit with a noisier edge. Cupp Cave’s next release will arrive as a limited-edition clear vinyl to commemorate Record Store Day 2014 on April 19, but it’s also currently available for purchase on Ramp’s web site, and can be streamed in full below.
