Another season of Fashion Week has come and gone in New York, and in its wake, some of the exclusive music which soundtracked its myriad catwalks and exhibitions has surfaced for public consumption—namely, Night Slugs co-founder L-Vis 1990‘s score for Opening Ceremony‘s Fall/Winter 2014 runway show. Called SHOWTUNES: OC FW14, the British DJ/producer’s 12-and-a-half-minute mix of beat-driven music jumps between melodic, acid-drenched house to raw and percussive workouts which bring to mind his recent self-titled EP as Dance System. It’s a visceral listen that kicks off with an homage to Technotronic’s classic “Pump Up the Jam” single, effectively setting the tone for a mix of sounds that wouldn’t be the least bit of place blasting from a club in the early ’90s.

Launched halfway through last year, Sasu Ripatti’s eponymous imprint will serve as the home to another vinyl-only 12″ from the Finnish producer’s own Vladislav Delay project. The two-track record will mark Ripatti’s first contribution to his fledgling label under the Vladislav Delay moniker, with its a-side described as a “complex and unforgiving… footwork variant of [Vladislav Delay’s] signature dubs” and its flipside said to offer a “jittery percussive tangle.” Set to drop on March 17, the Ripatti03 12″ will be limited to a pressing of 350 vinyl copies; its artwork and tracklist are included below.

In support of Re-Engineering, the second full-length effort from Heatsick which arrived via PAN late last year, the Berlin producer will make his way across the US for a string of live dates. Having touched down in San Francisco last week, Heatsick will soon bring his Casio-based brand of off-kilter dance music to seven more North American destinations—including Chicago, New York, Portland, and Los Angeles.

In addition to his US tour details, Heatsick has also shared a new video for his recent album’s title track. The slowly spinning flora and female guest star in those visuals can be watched below, where the man’s upcoming tour dates are also included.

After being featured as part of our Bubblin’ Up profile on Barcelona this year, Spanish duo Downliners Sekt has announced the details of its long-awaited new album Silent Ascent. Set to drop on April 7 via InFiné, the upcoming LP is said to serve as a “defining sonic statement: a fractured hymn to the dancefloor and the sounds that move it.”

In the meantime, Downliners Sekt is offering a full stream of the title track, a subtle tune with a dark mist that gracefully layers over an eclectic variety of stark elements. LA-based DJ/producer Sam Griesemer (a.k.a. Samo Sound Boy) is set to release a new EP called Open / Divine via the Body High label he co-founded with recent XLR8R podcast contributor Jerome LOL. After having just come off a recent tour with Disclosure and premiering Body High Radio 001 on Boiler Room, Griesemer will drop his two-track record in mid-March. A video teasing the next record from Samo Sound Boy precedes its arrival, and can be seen below.

Belgian producer Locked Groove (a.k.a. Tim Van de Meutter) has quietly released a new record, a two-track effort for the We Play House imprint. The 12″ first surfaced a couple of weeks ago, but was only available directly from the label or the Music Mania Records shop in Ghent. However, those outside of Belgium looking to pick up the vinyl-only offering should now be able to find the 12″ a little closer to home, as proper global distribution kicked in yesterday. Clips of both tracks, “Aquarius” and “Latency (Sunrise Mix),” can be heard below, and demonstrate how the record finds Locked Groove exploring a sunny, Balearic-flavored take on breezy house sounds. It’s a slightly different style than he’s showcased on previous efforts for labels like Hotflush and Turbo, and it will be interesting to see if he continues to explore this direction in the future.

Deep house auteur Maceo Plex will return to his own Ellum Audio label with a new EP next month. The Dallas, Texas native (who now resides in Barcelona) will offer three “heavy duty” tunes marked by “blissful yet dark synths,” “powerful percussion,” and “plenty of FX to stimulate senses on the dancefloor” on Conjure One—which, considering its title, may end up being part of a larger series. Maceo Plex’s new record is set to arrive on March 17, but in the meantime, its artwork and tracklist are included below.
