Jacques Renault will return to his own Let’s Play House label later this month with a new 12″ featuring remixes from Welsh producer The Organ Grinder and Brooklyn duo No Regular Play. Set to drop on February 17, the tree-track effort is led by Renault’s new production, which utilizes a “fidgety synth motif,” a “throbbing bass warble,” and “guttural vocal samples” across its seven-minute run. Before “The Fake Out” officially drops, preview streams of all three contributions to the 12″ can be heard using the player below.

Set to take place in Pula, Croatia between August 28 and 31, the 2014 edition of the annual Dimensions Festival has revealed another wave of acts set to appear this summer. A separately ticketed opening event will kick off the festivities this year on August 27, with the likes of Darkside, Caribou, and Nils Frahm performing in a 2,000 year old Roman amphitheater located within Fort Punta Christo. The entirety of Dimensions will span across Fort Punta Christo’s Adriatic coastline, offering “some of the most unique stages of any festival in the world.” Set to take to those stages throughout the end of August are Theo Parrish (pictured above), Mala, Gilles Peterson, Kode9, Moodymann, Nina Kraviz, Metro Area, Ben UFO, Marquis Hawkes, Om Unit, Jessy Lanza, Jon Hopkins, Floating Points, Juan Atkins’ and Moritz von Oswald’s Borderland project, and many more. With his ESTOILE NAIANT LP arriving via Warp later this month, experimental UK producer patten has shared another of its 10 tracks, delivering the dense and skittering “Agen” with a music video described as “an elegant exercise in typology.” Visual artist and frequent patten collaborator Jane Eastlight created the clip with hundreds of images found randomly using search terms on the internet, aiming to “create a unique vision of a fever-dreaming stream of consciousness.” The resulting imagery aptly mirrors the lavish and erratic new music from patten, and can be seen below, before ESTOILE NAIANT drops on February 25.

Bristol collective Young Echo had a great 2013, kicking things off with a Bubblin’ Up feature on XLR8R and dropping a solid debut LP, Nexus, via RAMP. Now, a few of the group’s members—namely, Tri Angle affiliate Vessel, Jabu, and El Kid—have formed an outfit called Killing Sound, the first EP from which will arrive next month via Blackest Ever Black. The trio’s debut, self-titled release will feature “four tracks cut obnoxiously loud” and spread over two 12″s when it drops on March 17. Each of Killing Sound’s forthcoming tunes can be previewed in the player below, where the tracklist for Killing Sound is also included.

Benoît Pioulard and Rafael Anton Irisarri will release their sophomore LP as Orcas this spring via Morr Music. Entitled Yearling, the forthcoming eight-track record is said to find Orcas enlisting the help of fellow musicians Martyn Heyne and Michael Lerner to craft an album that attempts to “reconcile the uncertainty and frailty of our combined humanity with the ardor of the individual, and to understand the measure of a year against that of a lifetime.” We’ll have to wait until April 4 to see what exactly the outfit’s lofty aspirations have yielded, but in the meantime, a video preview of the album can be seen below, where Yearling‘s tracklist is also included.

With her forthcoming Dave Sitek-produced Food LP on the way via Ninja Tune, low-key pop star Kelis (pictured above) has just shared a remix of one of her record’s new tracks by Warp-signed production duo Mount Kimbie. The UK outfit’s version of “Jerk Ribs” is as subtly emotive and beat-oriented as one might expect, employing a simple drum-machine groove and some soulful synth chords to accompany contorted loops of Kelis’ vocal hooks. The whole thing can be streamed below before Food is released on April 21.
