The Bleep discography has included big names such as Karenn, Marcel Dettmann, Autechre, and Oneohtrix Point Never, but for its latest issue, the London imprint and independent online store has tapped newcomer and “totally unheard artist” Spaces, whose four-track EP One will see release later this month. While little has been shared about the producer himself, EP cut “Lever” has been made available to stream below, and is described as packing “an immediate punch, with its Knight Rider-esque stuttering melody combining with neck-snap snares to deadly effect.” A second original track, “Apologies,” was shared via Boiler Room Debuts last week and can be heard here.

The vinyl edition of One (limited to 300 copies worldwide) is set to arrive on September 22, and a tracklist has been posted below.

Baba Stiltz, the youngest recruit to Axel Boman’s cooperatively run Studio Barnhus label, has shared details of his forthcoming album, Total. The Stockholm-bred producer has already logged three 12″s with the label (not to mention two “dreamy folk-pop” LPs as The Bethlehem Beard Corporation and production work for Yung Lean), but Total marks his debut full-length produced under his own name. The effort comes described as a combination of “psychedelic screw-pop, minimalistic emo-acid, and opiate-drenched coming-of-age-ambient,” and is slated for official release on October 13 in double LP, CD, and digital formats. In the meantime, the premiere of album cut “Reality Sparks” can be heard below, where a tracklist has also been posted.

The first piece of audio to surface from Aphex Twin‘s forthcoming Syro LP for Warp has at last arrived. Serving as the the upcoming album‘s lead track, “minipops 67 [120.2][source field mix]” finds the pioneering producer sounding as unclassifiable as ever, with constantly evolving rhythms combining with rich chords, uncanny vocal manipulations, and a series of sublime melodic sequences.

Appearing via Warp’s official YouTube page, the full stream of Aphex Twin’s “minipops 67 [120.2][source field mix]” can be heard below; Syro is slated to land on September 23.

Berlin producer Thomas Pahl (a.k.a. Vertical67) will return with his second 12″ outing for 100% Silk later this month. The six-track Aura EP (which follows Pahl’s 2012 effort for the label, Soulmates) will present five new productions from the budding German talent, said to be full of “faded neon, concave rubber basslines, fluorescent synths, and Roland rhythm patterns.” Furthermore, the record will be capped off by a remix from 100% Silk regular Octo Octa, who turns in a synth-focused rework of EP cut “Invisible Presence.”

Vertical67’s Aura EP is currently set to arrive on September 30. In the meantime, the chord-fueled “Heatwaves” can be streamed in full below, where the upcoming record’s full tracklist has also been included.

Loefah’s Swamp 81 imprint will launch a new sub-label “committed to releasing the most up-front underground music, monthly.” Simply named 81 and announced earlier today via Facebook, the new endeavor plans to issue a release (available both digitally and through limited vinyl runs) each month, beginning with Mickey Pearce’s awaitedInstructions EP, with releases from Paleman, Chunky, and Zed Bias to follow. The new label venture will also be complimented by a bi-monthly club night of the same name, which is set to launch with a party at the Olso Night Club in Hackney on September 10.

While the tracklists for 81’s upcoming efforts have not been shared at this time, the freshly launched sub-label’s planned release schedule for the rest of the year can be found below. Avalon Emerson has announced plans to return to the fledgling Spring Theory label this fall with the Let Me Love & Steal EP. The rising DJ/producer has already delivered two releases in the past year, including a 12″ for San Francisco-based imprint Icee Hot (a label co-headed by XLR8R editor Shawn Reynaldo) and the Church of SoMa EP which served as Spring Theory’s inaugural record. As a press release notes, this latest effort reflects the influence of Berlin—where Emerson recently resettled after uprooting herself from the West Coast—while steering clear of the “industrial clichés that typify foreign expectations of the German capital,” instead combining idiosyncratic sampling with driving rhythms to yield four versatile, dancefloor-centered cuts.

Let Me Love & Steal is officially due out on October 20, and we’ve posted the EP’s tracklist and a list of US tour dates below, where Emerson’s recent mix for Beats in Space can also be streamed and downloaded.
