Newcomers to the Kompakt fold, Cologne pair DAMH (a.k.a. established talents Ada and David Hasert) will release its debut effort for the label, the Black Night EP, on Monday. Before then, DJ Koze‘s remix of the upcoming release’s title track is now available to stream.

Trotting along at an unhurried, almost hip-hop pace, the Hamburg producer’s rework first places a slightly wobbling, heavily distorted synth beneath a skipping break. Using that as its bed, the remix adds bits of sparkling harps, soft strings, and a bevy of eccentric noises and FX (a Koze trademark) to the procession, all of which comes led by the tune’s relaxed vocals, courtesy of Ada. It’s a fittingly unpredictable take on DAMH’s track and one that will sit nicely on the b-side of the duo’s Black Night EP, which officially drops on April 28 with two DAMH originals and an additional remix from Matt Karmil (who shared a free track from his debut LP with us just yesterday). In the meantime, DJ Koze’s full remix of “Black Night” can be streamed via the player below.

Earlier this month, Deadboy revealed plans to return to the excellent Numbers imprint with a new EP, sharing a slow-paced video for the record’s beatless title track. Now, with the London producer’s Return EP set to drop next week, a full stream of the upcoming effort has surfaced.

As it turns out, the four-track record is not an entirely ambient affair, as the densely rich “Return” gives way to three club-minded tracks more aligned with Deadboy’s established catalog—”Des Niles” leans towards the disco side of glowing house, “YHVH” presents sharp chords and glitched vocals alongside streaking UKG rhythms, and the closing “Life Code” dips into topical half-time. Set to officially drop on April 28, Deadboy’s full Return EP can be streamed below.

Last month, Reykjavíc-based noise artist Ben Frost announced the release of Aurora, his forthcoming LP for Mute/ Bedroom Community. As a teaser, he released the icy “Venter” as well as a creepily atmospheric music video. Now, Frost has furthered teased Aurora with a stream of “Nolan,” a cut which is evocative of a more noise-oriented approach, with abrasive feedback and a structure that occasionally twists into passages of contorted noise. The track comes on the heels of a new tour announcement which will find the veteran sound sculptor trotting around Europe.

Frost’s Aurora LP is scheduled for release on May 27, but before then “Nolan” is available to stream below, where a complete calendar of Frost’s upcoming tour dates can also be found.

Budding Ninja Tune affiliate and recent XLR8Rpodcast contributor Lee Bannon has shared a new production along with news of a brief upcoming North American tour. Bannon’s new work, titled “BLOOD/LINE,” finds the Brooklyn-based producer’s style still heavily steeped in jungle sonics, with a barrage of chopped breaks joining ghostly pads and brooding low-end during the course of the track’s four-plus-minute run. The man’s latest effort can be streamed below where his upcoming tour dates (a few alongside DJ Rashad, and one with the elusive Sophie) have also been included.

John Talabot’s Hivern Discs imprint has announced its latest release. Titlted “El Túnel” b/w “Proceso,” the forthcoming effort comes from C.P.I., a new collaborative project between Barcelona re-editor Marc Piñol and Berlin oddball DJ Hugo Capablanca. Comprised of two originals and a remix from Magazine and Cómeme affiliate Barnt, the record is said to be a mostly live-with-hardware affair, which its press release describes as an expression of the duo’s love for, “Psychic TV, industrial music, and New Beat.”

C.P.I.’s debut single is slated to drop on May 5. In the meantime, its tracklist and a stream of Barnt’s remix of “Proceso” are included below.

Just over a week ago, Cosmin TRG announced the launch of his own Fizic label, whose inaugural release would land in June in the form of a new 12″ from the Romanian artist himself. Now, the first previews of that record have surfaced. The forthcoming Fizic 01 12″ boasts two strong-armed pieces of steely techno, with both “Repetitiv” and “Vernacular” wrapping coldly detailed textures around the kinds of deep-reaching rhythmic assemblages Cosmin TRG has become known for in recent years.

In March, experimental mixed-media duo Sculpture announced the release of Membrane Pop, its upcoming LP for Oneohtrix Point Never‘s Software label. Now, the outfit has unveiled a new video for “Hackle Scam Populator,” the forthcoming album’s second single. In keeping with the LP’s abstract theme, the visual interpretation of “Hackle Scam Populator” employs overt psychedelia and a whirring kaleidoscope of computer generated forms—flashing dots, morphing polygons, and chemical structures—to mimic the track’s tape-delayed rhythms and 8-bit arpeggios.

Sculpture’s Membrane Pop album is scheduled to see a release on May 13. In the meantime, the video for “Hackle Scam Populator” can be watched in full below.

Following the release of his debut LP, Human, last month, Max Cooper has unveiled a set of upcoming tour dates which will take the London producer through the US and Canada next month. Along with news of his upcoming dates, Cooper—who recently penned an in-depth Artist Tips feature for us—has also revealed plans to release a remix EP for Human (cleverly titled Inhuman) in the coming weeks via the FIELDS label. Though no exact release date or tracklist has been shared yet, the EP is said to contain reworks from Ghostly affiliate Lusine, alongside efforts from Rodriguez Jr, Harvey McKay, Jack Dixon, and Olaf Stuut.

While we wait for more details of the Inhuman remix EP to arrive, Max Cooper’s upcoming North American tour dates have been included below.
