Just last month, we were alerted to Red Bull Music Academy‘s plans to inaugurate an annual music and arts festival in New York this year, and we now have the full details of what that star-studded, month-long series will entail. Taking place sporadically throughout the month of May, RBMA NYC 2014 is set to offer a widespread selection of international artists performing across a number of unique and simply downright top-notch events.

Among the special happenings planned throughout New York are a tribute to William Onyeabor with David Byrne, Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip, and many others; DJ sets at the Brooklyn Flea Record Fair from Optimo, Autre Ne Veut, Regis and Silent Servant as Sandra Electronics, and more; an all-night DJ set from Running Back boss Gerd Janson; a special Mister Saturday Night house party; and a closing night on May 31 with 15 RBMA alumni—including Nightwave, Anenon, Robot Koch, and Yosi Horikawa, among others. Other artists set to perform throughout RBMA’s extended festival include the likes of MikeQ, house icon Todd Terry, Tri Angle affiliate The Haxan Cloak, NYC mainstay Francois K, Tim Hecker, Regis, Panda Bear, breakout Glaswegian beatmaker Hudson Mohawke (pictured above), the Lit City Trax crew, and many more.

Later this month, UK house maestro Leon Vynehall will be releasing Music for the Uninvited, a mini-LP for Martyn’s 3024. Ahead of its arrival, he’s put together a brand-new DJ mix. UK outpost FACT usually posts its mixes on Monday, but the site has elected to break with tradition and put up this midweek outburst from Vynehall. The 65-minute session comes without a tracklist, but it’s full of, as FACT says, “twinkling house, clipped electronics, good times funk, and more.” Head here for the original post, or simply stream/download the mix from the player below.

It was only a few weeks ago that The Power and the Glory, the latest LP from Perc (pictured above), was released to all sorts of acclaim. Now, the London producer is planning to quickly follow it up with an all-star remix EP. The Power and the Glory Remixed is scheduled to appear on April 11, and will contain reworks from the like of Hemlock boss Untold, R&S affiliate Tessela, and Scottish techno outfit Clouds. Given that everyone involved is known for their wizardy with gnarled sounds and booming bass tones, the EP should pique the interest of just about anyone who likes their techno dark and driving. Not long after the first remix EP for DJ Koze‘s remarkable, XLR8R Pick’d Amygdala album dropped at the end of last year, we’ve received word of the second installment of the ongoing series, a two-track 12″ featuring productions from fellow German artists Robag Wruhme and Roman Flügel. The latter of the two producers is said to have changed the title track from DJ Koze’s 2013 LP “from a laid-back, wind-chiming electro-pop number into a clock-working tech-house fairy tale,” while Wruhme’s take on “Nices Wölkchen”—which can be heard on DJ Koze’s excellent XLR8R podcast from December of last year—wraps the original version in a “deep house cocoon.” Both tunes are set to appear via Pampa, with vinyl hitting shops on March 24 and the digital package arriving on March 31.

Following last year’s release of his debut long-player Raw Solutions, Moscow-born, Chicago-reared, and now NYC-based producer Slava will return to the Software label with a new five-track EP later this month. Entitled Comma Sutra, the forthcoming record is said to find Slava turning “his focus away from the darker footwork deconstructions” of his debut LP in favor of using a “more playful, colorful palette” which incorporates a number of “swinging house melodies” and “warped, rubbery basslines.”

With a few weeks left before Comma Sutra sees an official release on March 25, Slava has shared a stream of EP track “Better,” as well as the record’s tracklist and, uh, provocative artwork, all of which are included below.

Curated by Rob Booth, the man who also helps run the excellent Houndstooth imprint, the Electronic Explorations label will issue its third release next month in the form of a collaborative EP from rising UK producers Happa and Manni Dee. Operating together under the name Habits of Hate, the pair’s forthcoming self-titled EP is said to offer two tracks of blistering techno which attempt to push “dancefloors to previously uncharted limits.”

Before the Habits of Hate EP drops on April 28, its two cuts, “Limelight Roles” and “A Rebel From the Waist Down,” can be previewed below.

Body High co-founder Samo Sound Boy always seems to have something going on, and that flurry of activity continued today when he elected to share a stream of “Divine,” the b-side from his forthcoming new EP. It was just last week that the record’s flipside, “Open,” surfaced online, and now the acid-streaked “Divine” has been premiered via Spin. The Open/Divine EP will be the first Body High release on vinyl, and is scheduled to drop on March 18. In the meantime, “Divine” can be heard below.
