Hemlock label boss Untold (pictured above) and London techno experimentalist Perc have both issued quality albums this year—Black Light Spiral and The Power and the Glory, respectively—and will come together on the latter producer’s upcomingThe Power and the Glory Remixed EP. Before that record drops on April 11, one of its three productions, “Bleeding Colours (Untold Remix),” is now available to hear in its entirety. As one might expect, the tune is heavy with a capital “H,” as the remixer leans hard on a gnarled bassline which was no doubt sourced from one of essential modular synths. Untold fills out the limited space around his relentless synth with skittering drum patterns that sound as if they’re all but crushed under the size of the low-end frequencies. Below, the new remix of Perc’s “Bleeding Colours” can be streamed in full before it drops along with productions from Tessela and Clouds via Perc Trax on April 18.

One of the handful of exciting new talents emerging from burgeoning Brighton label Donky Pitch, Bubblin’ Up Scottish producer Lockah is just under a week from releasing his debut LP, Yahoo or the Highway, and has preemptively unleashed the whole record to be streamed online. The artist born Tom Banks delivers 13 neon-hued, rave-indebted, and—on occasion—surprisingly poignant productions across his album’s 45 minutes, focusing as much on dancefloor-friendly beats and hooky melodies as he does atmospherics and other intricate subtleties. Before they drop on April 14, each of Lockah’s new tunes from Yahoo or the Highway can be heard in their entirety here, courtesy of Pitchfork Advance.

Set to drop later this month via Black Acre, the vocal-led a-side cut from Fantastic Mr. Fox‘s upcoming “On My Own” b/w “Broke” 12″ is now available to stream in full. Enlisting the talents of London singer Denai Moore, “On My Own” is a dramatic electronic composition, one which fills a large sonic scope with heavy organ chords, precise sub-bass, and thick layers of Moore’s rich voice. Before “On My Own” b/w “Broke” sees its official release on April 21, the single’s a-side cut can be streamed in full below.

After the first wave of artists was revealed back in March, the UK’s fledgling Eastern Electrics event has just announced another installment of acts slated to perform this coming summer. Taking place across seven stages in Hertfordshire’s Hatfield House, the upcoming one-day festival has added Nonplus label boss Boddika, breakout UK DJ/producer Daniel Avery (pictured above), Berlin-based house specialist Mano Le Tough, as well as UK house chart toppers such as Steve Lawler, Laura Jones, and Dyed Soundorom—all of which will join the likes of Kerri Chandler, Art Department, and Ellen Allien on the bill. Fhloston Paradigm, the sci-fi obsessed alias of longstanding Philadelphia producer and sound designer King Britt, will release his debut album via Hyperdub in June. Set to appear on Kode9’s label in the midst of celebrating its 10th anniversary, Fhloston Paradigm’s The Phoenix LP will serve as the first proper follow-up to his first record for Hyperdub, 2011’s three-track King Britt Presents Fhloston Paradigm, the lead track from which, “Chasing Rainbows,” will also be included in the album package.

Scheduled to see a release on June 9, The Phoenix is described as “an album that
reflects and ties together sci-fi’s musical history and concepts without being weighed
down by them.” Furthermore, the 14-track effort enlists a number of vocal collaborators, including West Coast vocalist/producer Natasha Kmeto, Pia Ercole, Rachel Claudio, and Marlo Reynolds.

Before Fhloston Paradigm’s long-player debut lands in June, its artwork and and tracklist are included below. In the meantime, King Britt has a string of upcoming live dates in the works, including the Moondance “lecture, dance, and live music” event this Sunday at NYC’s MoMA PS1 museum; more information on that can be found here, while the rest of Britt’s live dates have also been included below.

Just over a year ago, London producer Deadboy came out of a brief hibernation to drop the XLR8R Pick’d Blaquewerk EP via his usual label home, Numbers. Since then, however, the UK talent has remained noticeably quiet on the release front—until today, that is, as word of the man’s upcoming, appropriately titled Return EP has arrived with a new video for the record’s beatless title track.

Deadboy’s four-track Return EP will see its official release on April 28, but before then, a dramatic video for its titular opening cut has been shared. With the drumless, arpeggio-led “Return” serving as its soundtrack, the clip (directed by Thomas Traum) navigates through engulfing layers of colorful fog, only to reveal that an unexpected figure has been waiting to greet the viewers somewhere on the other side. Merely months after enduring a gunshot wound from an armed robbery attempt in his hometown of Chicago, venerable footwork guru Traxman (a.k.a. Cornelius Ferguson) has announced the follow up to his debut LP for Planet Mu, Da Mind of Traxman, suitably titled Da Mind of Traxman Vol. 2. Ferguson’s second chapter in the series is said to “show a slightly different take on [his] abilities.” The press release further elaborates, “Instead of bringing in concepts from other genres, he simply creates a wider variety of footwork, made with a minimal, reduced palette. Often just one or two samples are selected and diced into brain-blurring cubist puzzles that bear little relation to their original sources, or anything else for that matter.”

Before Da Mind of Traxman Vol. 2 officially sees the light of day on May 19, its tracklist and cover art can be peeped below.

The follow up to London-based DJ/producer Dauwd‘s excellent Heat Division EP from last year, Kindlinn dropped this week via Kompakt, and is now available to stream in its entirety. We’ve already heard two of the record’s three productions—the tech-y, soft-focus house of “Lydia” and the heavily atmospheric closing track “Rain Raker”—so the only fresh tune for those keeping tabs on this release will be its title track.

The longest of the three tunes, “Kindlinn” sets its sights on the dancefloor from the onset, working out a simple and stomping beat for Dauwd to weave his funky synthlines around. The UK artist eventually introduces a bit of his beloved ambient pads to the mix, but still keeps things sharp and focused with biting piano chords and subtle bits of percussion. All of the just-released Kindlinn EP can be heard in the player below.
