Coinciding with the release of a new remix 12″ featuring reworks by Audion and Factory Floor (the former of which can be streamed in full here), Daniel Avery has shared a new video for “Drone Logic,” the title track and lead single from the fast-rising UK DJ/producer’s debut LP. The video sheds new light on Avery’s dynamic production, following a young woman as she appears trapped in a neverending loop which takes her from her bed, to a mirror, and then to the door. Finally, as the clip’s final minute approaches, the woman finds her way outside, only to find she’s trapped in an even more bizarre scenario. The full clip of “Drone Logic” can be watched below.

Following the release of the single-sided Wires 12″ last year, Floating Points has unveiled a new two-track 12″, sharing lead track “King Bromeliad” as a full stream. The song opens up with sounds of a crowd chatting, before transitioning into his distinctly soulful, jazz-influenced style. Dropping via his own Eglo label, Floating Points’ upcoming record is slated to arrive sometime in the near future, but its tracklist and the stream of its a-side cut are available below in the meantime.

Marking 20 years of activity for his 2020Vision label, veteran UK DJ/producer Ralph Lawson (pictured above) has curated and mixed a compilation featuring 20 exclusive tracks by an array of excellent artists from around the world. Called Content, the release will feature all new original music and remixes from Tom Trago, Doc Daneeka, Cassy, Eats Everything, Simian Mobile Disco, Ejeca, Maya Jane Coles, Citizen, Groove Armada, Matthew Herbert, Pezzner, Paul Woolford, and many more. The compilation will arrive on vinyl, digital, and double-CD formats on June 30, followed by a series of international parties held at Fabric, Sónar, Ibiza, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, Milan, Munich, Glasgow, Leeds, and other locations. Though Content‘s artwork has yet to be shared, we’ve included its tracklist below.

Enduring Berlin-based DJ/producer Jimmy Edgar has announced the details of the second compilation on the way from his nearly one-year-old Ultramajic label, a six-track record that will feature original productions from Night Slugs co-owner L-Vis 1990‘s Dance System moniker, Lando (f.k.a. Lando Kal, half of Lazer Sword), and San Francisco’s Matrixxman, as well as a remix from Edgar’s own Creepy Autograph alias. Like the first installment of the Metaphysix series, its second edition also has a prevailing theme which the producer’s were told to explore. As should be expected from music described as “savage drum tracks slimmed down to their meanest and leanest states,” Metaphysix, II: Rhythm finds the four artists working around the idea of “rhythm,” resulting in a “lethal set of no-frills, drum machine-inspired workouts that demonstrate the ‘less is more’ maxim with sterling results.”

Before the percussion-focused record drops on April 21, a full stream of lead track “Stop It,” one of Matrixxman’s two original contributions, is available below, where the tracklist for Metaphysix, II: Rhythm can also be found.

Modeselektor’s Monkeytown label is set to have a busy spring, with releases from Moderat (featuring remixes by DJ Koze and Robag Wruhme), Siriusmo, and Otto Von Schirach in store for April and May.

First up, Monkeytown will digitally issue the “Tipo Tropical” b/w “La Plancha” single from Otto Von Schirach on April 18. The eccentric—to put it lightly—electronic stalwart’s latest effort is described as a “comic book” take on Miami bass, one that “has such a strong visual content, that even when listening to it on bad speakers you will hallucinate pictures of parrots, birds of paradise, and other likewise vivid tropical creatures.” Dropping the following day, April 19, as part of Record Store Day, the label will also release a limited 10″ from Siriusmo called “jaja” b/w “muckefuck.” Siriusmo appears alone on the a-side effort, but the b-side will feature a collaboration between the German producer and Anstam, with the former artist describing the collaboration as a “mystical interaction between the woods and the sun.”

Finally, May 16 will see Moderat’s “Bad Kingdom”—a standout cut from the group’s sophomore LP, II, released in the summer of 2013—remixed by Pampa boss DJ Koze and the always inventive Robag Wruhme. While no artwork has been shared for the remix 12″, the artwork and tracklist for Otto Von Schirach’s and Siriusmo’s individual efforts for Monkeytown can be peeped below.

After making frequent appearances on XLR8R‘s radar over the course of the last year—including the honor of being one of our picks for 2013’s best new artists—Ontarian singer/songwriter Jessy Lanza has returned with a brand-new mix for the Modular label’s Modcast series. The 34-minute session was created to kick-off Lanza’s second stint of North American tour dates, during which she will accompany Australian synth-pop virtuosos Cut Copy.

Lanza’s new mix is jam packed with an assortment of various R&B timbres and interspersed with brief touches of deep dancefloor sounds—including tracks from Bambounou, Shlohmo, DJ Sliink, Slugabed, Tokimonsta, Tink, and more. The full DJ set can be streamed and downloaded for free here, where a quick interview with Lanza is also included. Additionally, her remaining tour dates with Cut Copy are available below.
