Discoclubbers ‘Spiagge Libere’

Discoclubbers will soon land on their own Discoclub label with a new two-track EP filled with dancefloor intent. Little is known about the person or duo behind the work but their talents in atmospheric and arresting minimal house tunes are evidenced here.

“Spiagge” goes first and is a masterfully meaty track with big pinging kick drums, followed be “Spiagge Libere,” a track that is a little funkier and less rigidly loopy. It is another economical yet efficient tune that will lock in any floor with taste.

Tuskegee Music to Release Seth Troxler and Omar-S Collaborations

Tuskegee Music will return with a new release from Detroit heavyweights Seth Troxler—under his Young Seth alias— and cult FXHE boss Omar S.

All three tracks were written 11 years ago and have been long forgotten until recently being unearthed.

The first track here was inspired by a trip Seth made to Berlin’s Club Der Visionaere in 2005. “It basically was me returning to Detroit and telling Omar about this crazy music I heard Ricardo play during the day.” The result, “Deep” (CDV 2006 Mix), is a deep house track. Then comes the experimental slow motion drum shuffle of “Detroit After Midnight” which the pair made after “finding loads of weird records in his basement sampling them and making a classic MPC Detroit cut.” Last of all, Young Seth goes solo on “Luiza’s Inferno.”

Tracklisting:

A1. Young Seth & Omar S “Deep” (CDV 2006 Mix)
B1. Young Seth & Omar S “Detroit After Midnight”
B2. Young Seth “Luiza’s Inferno”

Lost and Found EP is scheduled for October 20 release.

DJ Spider and Phil Moffa Collaborate on New EP

For its 23rd release, Berlin-based Italian label Out-ER welcomes techno fellows DJ Spider and Phil Moffa for the V EP.

The collaboration between the Italian label and the two techno producers follows a meeting in NYC between Out-ER co-founder Simone Gatto at the producers’ headquarters. Gatto always appreciated the artists’ musical peculiarity and generally supports distorted electronic sounds, which already found space on the label’s previous releases thanks to the efforts of The Analogue Cops, Christopher Rau, and Marieu.

The label upcoming release is an invigorating, dark electronic affair. The artists declare that “V EP is inspired by the celebrated American TV series “Visitors” from which we sampled several voices and sounds.”

A2 / 2. Beast As It Is
B1 / 3. Siege
B2 / 4. Busted Main
B3 / 5. Tang Dream
