Prins Thomas has been tapped to deliver the first in a new mix series allied with the annual Rainbow Disco Club festival in Tokyo. Since launching in 2010, the festival has hosted a slew of international favorites, with Moodymann, the Hessle Audio crew, and DJ Koze headlining its most recent edition alongside Prins Thomas. According to Resident Advisor, the Norwegian producer was approached by festival organizers and Endless Flight label head Toshiya Kawasaki following last April’s event, and the resulting Rainbow Disco Club Vol. 1 (artwork above) is now due out via the Mule Musiq sub-label in early fall.

Spanning 26 tracks, the collection features selections from Donato Dozzy, Floating Points, DJ Fett Burger, Ricardo Villalobos, Golden Teacher, and Surgeon. Thomas’ Rainbow Disco Club Vol. 1 will see its official release via Endless Flight on September 22; a full tracklist has been included below.

After nearly two decades in operation, veteran producer Ben Sims has announced the conclusion of his long-running Theory imprint and detailed its final release, which enlists remixes from four fellow techno heavyweights. Since its inception back in ’97, Sims says, the label has moved in “a full circle that’s gone through three different decades, survived two distributors going bust, and is now musically the strongest it’s ever been, so it feels time to call it a day and finish on a high.”

Theory of Completion, due out as a triple-vinyl release in early fall, spans eight original tracks from the London-based artist and XLR8Rpodcast alum himself that reflect on the progression of the label. Also included are remixes from Marcel Dettmann, DVS1, Luke Slater (a.k.a. Planetary Assault Systems), and Surgeon, all appearing on the label for the first (and final) time. The compilation is slated to see an official release on September 8, and its lengthy full tracklist and artwork have been included below.

NYC trio Lemonade are set to return with its sophomore LP later this summer. After announcing details and sharing the lead single from Minus Tide last month, the outfit has now unveiled the record’s second single, “Orchid Bloom.” Like “Stepping,” Lemonade’s newly surfaced cut again sees the former XLR8Rpodcast contributors melding traits of contemporary club music with emotive synth-pop. Spanning just under four minutes, “Orchid Bloom” is an uptempo affair which folds a bevy of percussion into its rich assemblage of hi-fi synth tones and sneaking melodies. The track can be streamed in full below before Minus Tide lands on September 9 via Cascine.

Last month, London producer Liil Silva shared the details of his forthcomingMabel EP, an announcment which was paired with a stream of the record’s vocal-led title cut. Now, with the effort’s release still a month away, a new video has surfaced for the hazy, pop-leaning EP cut. A somewhat somber production on its own, the video for “Mabel” (directed by Laura Coulson) is intended as a “subtle homage to Silva’s grandmother Mabel, whom the song was about,” as it reimagines a few key memories from the producer’s own childhood.

Lil Silva’s full Mabel EP—which includes a pair of collaborations with LA vocalist Banks—will see its official release on August 4 via Good Years/True Panther. In the meantime, the clip for the record’s title track can be watched below.

Recent XLR8Rpodcast contributor Matrixxman is one of three production outfits tasked with remixing “We Got Luv,” an upcoming chord-led single from Italy’s Hard Ton duo. Set to drop in September via San Francisco label Friends With Benefits (an imprint who puts a “special focus on queer-identified talent”), the We Got Luv 12″ will offer the original track alongside remixes from Severino & Hifi Sean, Roctiv, and Soo Wavey co-head Matrixxman, whose jacking take on the track is streaming in full below. The vinyl edition of the 12″ will eventually be followed by a special digital release of We Got Luv later this year, which will include a second remix from Matrixxman along with another original effort from Hard Ton.

In anticipation of the release, the Italian pair will also be heading Stateside for a brief West Coast tour, the full dates for which can be found on the flier below; more information can be found here.

After initially revealing plans to issue the label’s first compilation late last month, Berlin’s Leisure System imprint has today released its Leisure System Data—or simply LSD01—collection featuring unreleased tracks from Dopplereffekt, JETS, Barker & Baumecker, Nautiluss, and Deepchild, among others. The 20-track collection is currently available as a “microSD card, inside an SD adapter, inside a larger custom SD casing, made from laser-cut, etched, and CNC-milled acrylic glass” (pictured above), which is limited to only 50 copies. In addition, those who purchase the LSD01 comp will also receive digital copies of the label’s first 10 releases. Earlier this year, Numbers co-head Jackmaster and Rinse affiliate Onemanannounced plans to combine forces as Can U Dance—presenting “a cohesive four-deck party” at a number of festivals throughout the season. Now, BBC Radio 1 has captured a recent set from the pair and turned it into the latest Essential Mix. Recorded at last month’s Glastonbury Festival, the one-hour set finds the accomplished DJs together leading a fast-moving musical expedition, beginning with cuts from the likes of Prince and INXS before moving into more club-ready territory.
