When it first appeared in 2007, The Field‘s watershed debut LP, From Here We Go Sublime, was released as a CD with an accompanying 12″ sampler, but never in proper vinyl form. Now, Kompakt is looking to remedy the situation with plans to reissue the album as a special edition double-LP for Record Store Day. The 10-track record has not been tinkered with or remixed in any way, and will be available with its original artwork, tracklist, and—as luck would have it—a CD of the record on April 19. For the sake of recognizing From Here We Go Sublime on Record Store Day, we’ve gone ahead and included the album’s artwork and the vinyl package’s tracklist below.

Modeselektor’s Monkeytown label has announced plans to release the debut full-length from Brighton upstart Alex Banks this Spring. Entitled Illuminate, Banks’ 10-track LP appears set to cover a diverse range of sonic ground, with phrases like “deep house at a dubstep convention” and “pin sharp glitch-hop” used to describe some of the record’s tracks. The record will also incorporate three vocal-focused cuts, all of which feature Elisabeth Bernholz.

Preceding Illuminate will be the “All You Could Do” 12″ which will offer the album’s lead single along with LP cut “Phosphorous,” a remix by Phon.o, and an alternative version of “All You Could Do.” That 12″ will drop on May 2, followed later in the month by the release of Bank’s debut artist album on May 30. Before then, Illuminate‘s artwork and tracklist are included below, along with a stream of Banks’ “All You Could Do (Alternate Version).”

Noise-techno firebrand, L.A. Club Resource boss, and fairly recent XLR8R podcast contributor Delroy Edwards dropped a surprise release today, a limited-edition eight-track 12″ of “no-wave” productions called Teenage Tapes. Described as offering “four noise pieces ranging from vicious vocal assaults to nuclear drones nodding to Prurient and The Haters,” in addition to “rhythm-driven pieces… ranging from Terminator II-style cues to a fusion of Lynchian atmosphere and rampant drum-machine patterns, coming off like [Angelo] Badalamenti meets Wold,” the record’s pressing of 500 is available exclusively through Boomkat‘s The Death of Rave imprint. “Initial copies” of Teenage Tapes will be pressed on clear wax, 40 random copies include a xeroxed, 22-page booklet, and all purchases come with an instant download of the full album.

Launched in 2013, Pinch‘s Cold label has served as home to a handful of vinyl-only releases from upcoming UK producers such as Batu, Elmono, and Ipman. Now, Pinch has revealed plans to issue the label’s first digital release in the form of a compilation which gathers all of the tracks from its previous efforts along with a handful of new contributions. Alongside productions from the Cold label affiliates mentioned above, three new cuts from rising producer Acre and a pair of contributions from Pinch himself are set to fill out CO.LD‘s tracklist.

The 12-track compilation is set to drop on April 11. In the meantime, its artwork and tracklist are included below; in addition, those interested in getting a better idea of the particular sound CO.LD will concern itself with are encouraged to head to the Cold label’s YouTube account, where a number of the collection’s tracks are available to stream in full. With a new full-length already set to drop next month, the ceaselessly prolific Legowelt has shared a streaming preview of his Los Alamos Motel 12″, forthcoming on the DC-based PPU label. The four-track effort appears to begin in familiar territory for the Dutch synthmaster, as the record’s a-side explores two seperate ends of galactic house. The flipside, though, sees Legowelt exploring more downtempo—but no less synth-filled—territory.

At this point, it appears that the Los Alamos Motel 12″ does not have an exact release date, but we’ve been told to expect it toward the end of March. A limited number of white-label versions are currently available to purchase here, but while we wait for the official release, Legowelt’s 12″ can be previewed using the player below.

After dropping their Tranklements LP in mid 2013, the three veteran producers of Sheffield outfit The Black Dog have returned with the announcement of a four-part EP series to celebrate their 25 years of consistent work. Simply titled Sound of Sheffield Vol.1, the first installment is set to arrive on March 31 via the trio’s own Dust Science label, and is said to be “aimed straight at the dancefloor, using the sounds of the city to echo Sheffield’s heritage in creating electronic music.” The EP makes no mistakes about its intentions, launching off with a fully loaded tech-house beat in “Ism,” evolving into a minimalist techno cut in “Dropforge Learning,” and rounding out with a healthy mix of the first two tracks in “Too Many Ism’s.”

Just a few days after dropping a new mix for Resident Advisor, UK producer Evian Christ has elected to post a stream of “Waterfalls,” the titular cut from his forthcoming EP for Tri Angle. With its industrial growls and blown-out hip-hop percussion, the track offers a solid window into the new record, which is scheduled for release on March 17.

Right before Waterfalls is released, Evian Christ will begin a tour across Europe, and he’ll be bringing along fellow UK upstart MssingNo, who we tabbed as an Artist to Watch during this year’s Bubblin’ Up Week. Incredibly, these will be MssingNo’s first-ever live gigs.
