Last week saw Machine Girl deliver a remix of Ultrademon for our Downloads section; now, the NYC producer is on the other end of a remix treatment. Dropping via Chicago label Them Flavors on September 15, Machine Girl will issue a split EP alongside Darren Keen, a six-track record that will offer two originals from each producer along with a remix from DJ Earl and Nightwave‘s rework of “Galatea,” featured here. Spanning just over three minutes, the remix is a considerably active production, one which finds Nightwave splicing a number of propulsive breaks and booming 808s amongst space-age FX and dense layers of dramatic, synthetic strings.
Last week, Flying Lotus dropped the first single from his highly anticipated album You’re Dead!, and yesterday, another album cut surfaced online, this time featuring Kendrick Lamar. “Never Catch Me” can be streamed in full below, before Warp delivers You’re Dead! on October 6 in the UK, and the following day in the US. Following closely behind the release of Angels & Devils‚—Kevin Martin’s first LP as The Bug since 2008’s London Zoo—last week, the UK producer has announced plans to issue another EP via Ninja Tune next month. The six-track Exit EP will include Angels & Devils tracks “Void” and “Function,” but will also include “Black Wasp,” a new production featuring Liz Harris (a.k.a. Grouper).
Ahead of the EP’s release on October 7, “Black Wasp” has been made available to stream below, where Exit‘s complete tracklist can be found as well. In addition, The Bug has expanded his extensive North American tour, the full dates for which have also been included below.

George FitzGerald’s ManMakeMusic imprint will add to its catalog next month with the Glen Park EP, Natan H‘s second effort for the label. Following up his For Her EP (which arrived on ManMakeMusic last year) and records for Mysterious Russian and Batti Batti, Glen Park is said to find the Chicago-born, Los Angeles-based producer—who also helms the vinyl-only Gauss label—presenting “three slabs of rounded, undulating deep house” that promise to “warm up sunrise and daytime dancefloors across both sides of the pond.”
Natan H’s Glen Park EP will land on October 20; before then, the record’s artwork can be seen above and its tracklist has been included below.

Earlier this year, NYC duo Prism House (pictured above) dropped its Landfall EP, an effort that found the experimental project piecing together six productions built from an array of found sounds and unconventional audio sources. Now, the pair has issued its Landfall Remixes EP which finds Software affiliate Thug Entrancer and Chicago pair The-Drum taking on EP cuts “Drift” and “The Skyline Breathes Tonight.” Featured here, we have the the former producer’s rework, a synth-striped, drum machine-fueled outing which reworks the manic pace of “Drift” into a more dancefloor-friendly affair. Out today, Prism House’s full Landfall Remixes EP can be streamed after the jump, where the pair’s upcoming US tour dates have also been included.
Longstanding Montreal producer and electronic artist Ghislain Poirier will issue the sophomore LP under his Boundary alias next week. Perhaps best known for the global bass constructions he crafts simply under his surname, Poirier debuted the Boundary project with a self-titled LP last year that aimed to “offer up IDM as it was initially designed.” On the upcoming Still Life album, the producer again looks back to classic rave and IDM for inspiration, delivering a new set of productions which “incapsulates and recaptures the merging point of classic electronics and classic electronica” resulting in an “imagined sci-fi score.”
A record said to have “been recorded in the middle of the night, and perfect for the middle of the night,” Still Life is slated to land on September 9. In the meantime, the record’s artwork and full tracklist have been included below.

Berlin’s Native Instruments has announced the details of the next generation of the company’s flagship software suite, Komplete 10, while also revealing its forthcoming line of Kontrol S-Series keyboard controllers.
Like all Komplete packages, the new instrument and effects collection will be available as Komplete 10—featuring 39 products, over 12,000 sounds, and 130 GB of instruments and effects—and as the more comprehensive Komplete 10 Ultimate package, which will feature 75 products, over 17,000 sounds, and 440 GB of instruments and effects. Both versions of Komplete 10 will feature six new instruments including Rounds (which “combines powerful sound design capabilities with advanced sequencing techniques”), Kontour (“an extremely responsive synth”), Polyplex (“an intuitive, fun way to design drum kits), and three “high-definition” sampled pianos: The Gentleman, The Grandeur, and The Maverick. Both Komplete 10 and Komplete 10 Ultimate will be available on October 1, set to retail for $499 and $999, respectively. More information can be found here.
Furthermore, NI has revealed the Kontrol S-Series of keyboard controllers, which have been made to seamlessly integrate with the new version of Komplete. Set to be available in 25, 49, and 61-key versions, the controllers “automatically map all key parameters for each Komplete instrument to the touch-sensitive controller knobs” and boasts a number of other intriguing features such as Light Guide (which “shows key switches, zones, and more on multi-color LEDs positioned just above the keys) and Smart Play (which can allow for one-key chords triggering and even “re-map” wrong notes). The Komplete Kontrol S-Series is set to arrive on October 1, with its 25, 49, and 61-key versions retailing for $499, $599, and $699, respectively. Over the past five years, the Error Broadcast label has served as a reliable source for forward-thinking beats, counting releases from Shlomo, Pixelord, Soosh, DZA, Monolithium, and others to its discography. To celebrate its five-year run, the label has elected to put together a special remix compilation, from which this rework of Dutch producer 96wrld Comes. Placed in the hands of budding Moscow beatmaker Noame Nogo, 96wrld’s “Private Language” is turned into a more head nod-worthy affiar, reshaping the original track’s spooky undertones to fit within the structure of Nogo’s slow-clattering beatwork. One of 10 tracks set to appear on Error Broadcast’s fifth anniversary remix collection, “Private Language (Noame Nogo Remix)” can be download below before the comp—which features additional productions from Om Unit, fLako, Anenon, and Ryan Hemsworth—is available to download for free (or purchase in cassette form) on September 15.
Over the past few years, there has been a lot of talk about former punk and hardcore figures moving into house and techno, but few of these artists’ efforts feel as spiritually “punk” as the music being created by Ital (a.k.a. Daniel Martin-McCormick). Previously a member of experimental-leaning (and ostensibly punk/hardcore) outfits like Black Eyes and Mi Ami, and also the creative force behind the abrasive Sex Worker project, Martin-McCormick introduced Ital in 2011, and has spent the last few years turning out leftfield takes on dance music, primarily via labels such as 100% Silk, Workshop, Planet Mu, and his own Lovers Rock imprint. (He’s also worked collaboratively during this time, combining with Hieroglyphic Being as Interplanetary Prophets and with Aurora Halal as Ital & Halal.) Next week, the Brooklyn-based producer will be issuing his third album as Ital, Endgame, via Planet Mu, and he’ll be following up its release by performing a few days later at the inaugural edition of Sustain-Release, a boutique festival in upstate New York being curated by Halal and partner Zara Wladawsky. Basically, the next few weeks are going to be very busy ones for Ital, and ahead of this maelstrom of activity, he’s put together an exclusive mix for the XLR8R podcast series.
Clocking in at just over an hour, the mix is largely focused on taut strains of house and techno, although even the most straightforward passages aren’t without something of an experimental bent. Martin-McCormick seems to be particularly interested in layered, hypnotic sounds, which combine in a rather interesting way with the podcast’s driving techno and industrial rhythms. On the whole, it’s something of a dark listen, but those who can handle the ominous vibes will likely find that Martin-McCormick has charted a rather rewarding journey; it may be a bit spooky, but there are plenty of jams to be discovered along the way.

Bicep has shared details of a new EP for the pair’s own Feel My Bicep imprint. The forthcoming Lyk Lyk finds the duo of Andrew Ferguson and Matthew McBriar (who recently talked XLR8R through their most essential gear and gave away a John Talabot remix of their track “Satsify”) channeling early rave, Italo disco, and techno into its four original productions, and inaugurating a collaboration with Feel My Bicep blog partner Rory Hamilton (a.k.a. Hammer). “We are big fans of freestyle and old Baltimore club tracks,” the duo says. “Starting off with a broken 808, we began jamming together, chopping vocals and melodies live, in our heads keeping it fun but rough.”
Lyk Lyk is set to arrive on October 6, and a trailer for the EP can be watched below, where we’ve also posted the complete tracklist.
