Fur Coat‘s Oddity label returns this month with a new EP from Natural Flow, titled Sagittarius.
Hugo Ibarra (Mexico) and Antü Coimbra (Argentina) (a.k.a. Natural Flow) launched their collaborative project in 2015 out of their current hometown of Mexico City and now land on Oddity back by remixes from Roman Poncet and Dubspeeka. Keeping in tune with the label’s ethos, the cuts on Sagittarius sit at the deeper end of the techno spectrum, haunting club cuts filled with groovy low ends and trippy synths.
Sagittarius is set to drop on Friday, November 17, with the record available for pre-order here. In support of the release, Oddity has offered up a full stream of Roman Poncet’s remix, a relentlessly rolling techno cut, available via the player below.
Nils Frahm will release his seventh studio album, All Melody, in January.
For the past two years, Nils Frahm has been building a brand new studio in Berlin to make All Melody. Ever since the day Nils first encountered the impressive studio of a family friend, he had envisioned to create one of his own. Fast forward to the present day and Nils is now the proud host of Saal 3, part of the historical 1950s East German Funkhaus building beside the River Spree. It is here where he has spent most of his time deconstructing and reconstructing the entire space, from the cabling and electricity to the woodwork, before moving on to the finer elements: building a pipe organ and creating a mixing desk all from scratch with the help of his friends. This is somewhere music can be nurtured, not neglected.
His previous albums have often been accompanied by a story, such as Felt (2011), where he placed felt upon the hammers of the piano out of courtesy to his neighbors when recording late at night in his old bedroom studio; and the following album Screws (2012), when injuring his thumb forced him to play with only nine fingers. His new album is born out of the freedom that his new environment provided, allowing Nils to explore without any restrictions and to keep it all about the melody.
Words from Nils, October 2017:
“In the process of completion, any album not only reveals what it has become but, maybe more importantly, what it hasn’t become. All Melody was imagined to be so many things over time and it has been a whole lot, but never exactly what I planned it to be. I wanted to hear beautiful drums, drums I’ve never seen or heard before, accompanied by human voices, girls, and boys. They would sing a song from this very world and it would sound like it was from a different space. I heard a synthesizer which sounds like a harmonium playing the All Melody, melting together with a line of a harmonium sounding like a synthesizer. My pipe organ would turn into a drum machine, while my drum machine would sound like an orchestra of breathy flutes. I would turn my piano into my very voice, and any voice into a ringing string. The music I hear inside me will never end up on a record, as it seems I can only play it for myself.
This record includes what I think sticks out and describes my recent musical discoveries in the best possible way I could imagine.”

There’s a new Les Points EP on the way, Occult Anti-Neo-Liberal Acid Squad Vol.1.
Les Points is a Zurich-based artist collective of Audino, Barbir, Louh, and Nicola Kazimir.
It has been throwing parties across the city since 2009, but it is the imprint for which the name garners the most acclaim: though earlier 12″s were perched somewhere close to minimal house, both LPs that have landed possess a cross-over appeal and evidence a refreshing inventiveness that is so often lost in the modern day; while the later EPs rarely fail to impress either.
Occult Anti-Neo-Liberal Acid Squad Vol.1. is the label’s 10th release, and stems from a desire to “make a solid EP devoted to rave culture.” It consists of “dark ambient, experimental interludes, and obscure acid tracks made for free minded clubbing.”
It’s the label’s second release of 2017, following Barbir and Kazimir’s Gentrified Underground Youth.

Apparel Tronic is back on track with the fourth release of its catalog, presenting Giona Vinti and his EP The Hanged Man Jazz Sessions.
Giona is a Milan-based sound designer, producer, and live act also known as Hyena; under this moniker, he has explored numerous musical genres throughout the years and eventually came up with a new solo project under his true name. This brand new approach allows him to experiment with abstract compositions, untied to any musical category and far from the dancefloor logics, in an attempt to build his own musical playground.
The EP consists of four original tracks plus one remix. All the tracks are actual “sessions” where there is no particular structure or defined arrangement.
Ahead of the EP’s December release, you can grab the title track via the WeTransfer button below.

Cold’s latest EP, Dub Safari, is set to land on Thule Records.
The outing follows his recent comeback EP Exiles with another collection of deep and dubby techno. Like the EP before it, Dub Safari offers thick, textured soundscapes, ethereal chords, and fathoms deep grooves across five standout tracks.
In support of the release, Cold has offered up EP cut “Early Reflections” as today’s XLR8R download, available via WeTransfer below.
On November 27, Austen/Scott will release their debut album, Hypnagogia.
The LP will be the 50th release on their Danse Club imprint, which has released outings from the likes of Groove Armada, Tom Ellis, and Lauhaus over the last five years, gaining support from artists such as Sasha, Dense & Pika, and Kate Simko in the process. Across 11 tracks on the album, the pair weave through a rich set of house and techno cuts ranging from the moody ambient opener, “Thinking Or Present (Intro),” to the slick mechanical rhythms of “Juno Missions” and the elegant Detroit-inspired “Man’s Word.”
To give you a taste of what’s to come, the duo have offered up a full stream of the deep and dubby “Somewhere In His Heart (Sub Dub),” available to stream via the player below.
The 10-track LP will be Isorinne’s second on the Swedish label, following 2016’s Echoic Memoir.
The Swedish producer has participated in other projects for the imprint, including records with Varg as D.Å.R.F.D.H.S. and another collaborative project called Bandhagens Musikförening. It will be the label’s last release of the year.
The label describes the release as “exhausted rather than restrained.”
